To Darwin And Back...Christmas In Australia!

Image
Goodday mates! I hope everyone had heaps of fun at Christmas! I am sure it was a ripper time!  I hope and pray everyone remembered to keep Christ in Christmas this year!  Fun Australian things:  -We went to the Royal Adelaide Hospital to give a priesthood blessing to someone this week. I have been there about 10 times. I found out this time that it is the most expensive hospital building in the world! It cost 2.4 billion USD to build! Everything is state of the art design and technology!  -All the Australians love to boast that they can go to the beach on Christmas! That is a Christmas tradition for most Australians…everyone goes to the beach during Christmas!  -Our friend Adam got us cucumber flavored lays potato chips! They tasted very refreshing!  Weekly Highlights:  -We took the departing missionaries to the airport! It was crazy because the Sister missionaries that came in with my intake went home! So if I was a sister missionary, I would be home ...

Well, well, well another 2 weeks in the books! Time for a quick update!  Weekly Highlights: -We had 2 zone conferences and they went smoothly! Everyone is asking when I will be finished being AP. Some logistics got messed up for zone conference so we had to wake up at 5am and drive to Victor Harbor to pick up some Elders before we had to be back to set up zone conference! -Elder Mitchell tested positive for covid.  It was 103 degrees on Thursday, as we were street contacting!  -We met with a guy from Indonesia! He was super fun! We met up at this Korean fried chicken place and it was so fun to eat chicken and teach about the gospel over dinner! Fun memories! He reminded me of Steven Tan who is a member from Malaysia!  -We had a lesson with Lihaiyi and Liyutong! They are the cutest Chinese couple! They are dating and it is the funniest dynamic during lessons! They are always trying to impress each other with what they remember being taught! They went on a tangent abou...

Well, well, well another 2 weeks have passed! Time is flying by! Time for another email update.  Fun Australian things:  Continuing to try unique Australian lollies. (What they call candy in Australia. You will never hear someone say candy.) -Picnic: this is a fun chocolate peanut butter bar. If you like peanuts and chocolate then you would like this lolly! -Moro: This chocolate is strange. It has a hard coating with a softer texture of chewy chocolate on the inside.  -Crunchi: Crunchies are interesting. They are chocolate covered honeycomb. Australians love their honeycomb flavored things!  -Cheery Ripe: This is a candy with a cherry and coconut mixture covered in chocolate.  -Turkish delight: This one is disgusting haha. It is a jelly filling surrounded by chocolate.  Something else really random is Australians love Nutella flavored things! Nutella flavored things are all over the place! Weekly updates: -Well we had transfer week! Elder Mitchell and I wil...
