Good Day mates! I hope everyone has had an amazing week.  I did lots of office work and random things this week. And the weather is starting to get colder.  Fun Australian things: -Push bikes are what they call bikes. -Iced Chocolate when hot outside instead of hot chocolate. -Over 50 car crashes a day in Adelaide city! Isn't that crazy? I have been driving for months now in the city with no crashes! Phew! But that statistic shows how bad the roads are here haha. Weekly Highlights:  -It has taken some adjustment to being an AP. The work is a lot different than what I imagined it to be. I am finally getting to understand what my responsibilities are in this new assignment.  -We counseled with a lot of Elders over lunch or dinner which was fun! I love discussing missionary work over some good food!  -This week was the calm before the storm! The next couple weeks are going to be crazy with so much going on and a ton of travel! Be ready for some fun stories! Spiritu...

Congratulations To Elder Jones

Dear Family of Elder Jones,   It is with great pleasure that I inform you that your missionary, Elder Jarret Jones, has just been called to serve as an Assistant to the President in the Australia Adelaide Mission.   This represents a significant accomplishment on his part, and I am sure that you are as proud of him as I am. Elder Jones will provide valuable leadership in the mission as he fulfills his stewardship and accepts responsibility to lead the missionaries in the Australia Adelaide Mission. Future leadership opportunities in family, church and career will be enhanced by the great experience he will have.   We are most grateful to you for helping to prepare your son to take on this very important responsibility in the Lord’s army. Please join me in congratulating Elder Jones and in providing continuing encouragement in the future. We love him and are blessed by his service in this mission.   With love and appreciation, President Adolf J. Johansson Australia Ad...

Interesting Week/Crazy Mid Transfer Changes

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week. I am really jealous that everyone has been able to watch general conference. I feel very left out haha. I am dying to listen to all the talks next week. We are so blessed to have prophets and apostles that speak for God!  Fun Australian things: -A lot of Australian doors don't have door handles on the outside of the door. Don't ask me how they get in the house haha. -For fast food or other restaurants Australians have these little plastic fishes that they put all the sauces in. These plastic little fishes contain soy sauce or hot sauce or whatever. So when you go out to eat you always end up with all these little plastic fishes haha. And they are always turning up in random places haha. -Australian road sizes differ based on what state of Australia you are in.  -My mission covers parts of all the Australian states except one of them…Queensland. But other than Queensland our mission covers parts of each state!  Weekly H...

Happy Easter!

Good day mates! This week flew by for some reason! We were going a million miles per hour every day! We had so many lessons and so much fun this week! Elder Butler and I are like the perfect duo….we work hard and have fun working hard together! It makes my heart happy! Fun Australian things: -There are no garbage disposals in any kitchens. -All the kitchens have these weird drying rack places… -The water fluctuates between freezing and scalding so we have to be very careful which way we turn the nozzle.  -All the houses have a screen door!! It is soooo annoying! Screen doors keep bugs out, but it also makes it so we can't see who is behind the screen door. When I door knock, it feels like I am talking to a screen door that can talk and has different personalities all day long.  Weekly Highlights: -Ok so last Saturday I found a new Chinese friend who said he would come and meet with us this week. Then on Monday we got a text from one of our newly baptized Chinese members with a...
